Attending The First PodStock in Trenton New Jersey

I got to attend PodStock in Trenton, New Jersey on June 11th, 2022.  Living in Trenton for almost a year this was walking distance for me.

It was the inaugural PodStock which was an initiative by the NPC Podcast Network and brought about by parent company

It was also the first podcast event I got to attend that was in New Jersey, especially in Trenton in which I currently live. And the first time of any sized podcast event I won something. Thanks to RØDE for the headphones and microphone.

I liked the fact that it was on a Saturday and jammed into about 6 hours of speakers and then an after party. Shout out to Larry Roberts for coming down from Texas and doing his thing on one of the panels.

New Jersey has a lot of talented podcasters and up and coming creators, so I think it's great to have something local.

Trenton as a city has a lot of soul, character, and history so I feel it's important to represent the city in a positive light when many people associate it with negative connotations.

I like that a focus was highlighted on high school and college podcasters and creators and that they were able to attend for free.

Podcasting is a great platform of expression and creativity and a lot of young people are looking for an outlet for that.

I did see a few people I knew from the podcast space and also a few locally that I met as well.

If you're in the NJ area for next year's event I would recommend attending.

And like every conference, event or meetup it is what you make of it.
