My Experiences Speaking At And Attending the 10th Annual PODFEST Expo January 2024
I got to attend the PodFest Expo in Orlando last week for the the third time, and have had the pleasure to speak at the last 2 PodFest events this year's being the 10th anniversary. Last year speaking about how to create killer host and guest media kits, and this year presenting a case study about why words matter in terms of seo for podcasters. Speaking is always great and helping other podcasters in different stages of their podcast journeys is always rewarding.
I've attended other big podcast conferences like Podcast Movement and other smaller regional ones, but I would say PodFest is the most enjoyable and the one I connect with people the most at. Like any other conference your experience is what you make it. Taking advantage of all the knowledge in one building and being able to meet people in smaller meet up groups around your interests is huge for growth in the podcast space and individual growth as well. One of the biggest things I enjoy is going to as many meet groups as possible to get to meet new and familiar faces. My faith as a Christian is important to me so it's always nice to meet up with those that are Christians and podcasting as well as those that are creating content around Christianity. I think everyone has some level of social anxiety. As podcasters we use our words and often times talk to and with others. If you put yourself out there at an event like PodFest you'll for sure make lasting personal and professional connections.
Any session you attend regardless of the topic you'll get value in terms of starting, streamlining, and growing your podcast.
